Review: Cleat Catcher

Cleat Catcher Cleat Catcher by Celia Aaron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I freakin love these guys and everything they write! If you haven't already read Cleat Chaser - the first in the duet, then drop what you're doing, and get onto it! Trust me, you will love it!

We first met Braden and Nikki in Cleat Chaser, and their story continues in this hilariously sexy follow-up.
Braden is the catcher for the Ravens. He leads his team, putting their needs ahead of his own - like any good leader does. His team-mates look up to him, and hold the highest respect for him.

Nikki was a self-proclaimed cleat chaser. She had grown up with a love for the game, and it was no wonder that she ended up following the sport (and the men who played) closely. When she met Braden, she knew that she had found her man. No more cleat chasing for her.

Together, they make a great team, until Braden starts to feel the pressure of keeping everyone happy. Something has to give. Will it be his love for Nikki, or his love for the game?

Cleat Catcher is another great read from the duo Celia Aaron and Sloane Howell. They combine their love of baseball, with witty banter and super-steamy sexy times.

The characters are lovable. Especially Kasey, Easton's sister. She was my favourite in Cleat Chaser and remains my favourite in this one too. She is hilarious, with an unbelievably dirty mouth, and that's why I love her so much! She has no filter. She just says whatever comes to mind, no matter the audience. I want a Kasey in my life!
Nikki is the fun-loving girl, who also has a potty mouth. She is feisty and fiercely loyal.
Her best friend, Kyrie, is the quieter of the two. She likes to read, and is an editor for the magazine they work for, Style and Substance.

Braden is a leader. He knows how to encourage people to be their best. That being said, he doesn't always make the best choices when it comes to his own life. He will boost you up, even while he is falling apart inside.
Easton, his best friend, is the pitcher for the Ravens. He is the ultimate alpha male. His loyalty and respect for Braden is immense.

I loved this book, and this duet. I don't know much about baseball, but I definitely love reading about the players!

Blurb
What happens when an unrepentant Cleat Chaser meets the player of her dreams?

Nikki Graves has a history of going through the baseball roster with an eye for talent--the kind of talent that keeps things spicy between the sheets. But, once she meets Braden Bradford, catcher for the Ravens, her talent scout days are done. He's the one.

Braden has never met a woman like Nikki, and he can't get enough of her smart mouth and big heart. But life isn't always as direct and certain as the connection between Braden and Nikki. When family objections and career trajectories begin to crowd the plate, will Braden be able to keep his catch of a lifetime?
