Review: Eyes Open

Eyes Open Eyes Open by T.Valis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great debut novel by T. Valis. I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought it seemed like it was heading in a Fifty Shades direction, and then it completely flipped and was something entirely different.

The author has a lovely writing style and a well thought out story-line. The characters are developed, the main character, Kira being easy to relate to. She has inner voices, charmingly called Logical and Dreamy, and throughout the story, we get to hear their opinions.

I don't want to give anything away, so I can't go too much into the story, but basically, Kira's life is a simple one. She lives with her flatmate, Scott, and works a steady job. A chance meeting with Carter Brams sets her life spinning on its axis.
Her past is dredged up to haunt her, and she leans on the one man she knows can protect her.

Warning, there is a cliffhanger in this book!

Well done to T. Valis for this fantastic debut novel!

Kira’s curiosity is about to set off a chain of events that no one could have predicted. Her 9 to 5, boring existence is about to be irrevocably shattered by one man. Carter Brams.

The mysterious and dark Carter Brams walked into her life and walked off with her heart. As Kira’s world shifts around her she reaches out to Carter for help.

Once your eyes have been opened you will never see the world the same way again. Once Carter Brams has Kira in his arms, will she ever view things from the same angle again?
